Photography
Organising your wedding is easy but sometimes a few small difficulties multiply and then things are not so easy! Putting your photos and video into one package can save you money and allow you to 'mix and match' between media.
After the ceremony it's time for the photo-shoot. In order to get the best result possible we will shoot outside the venue or travel to a nearby park, castle or beauty spot. With the assistance of the best man and ushers this should take an hour 'tops', enabling you to rejoin your guests and continue enjoying the day.
Sometimes during the service the clunk of a camera going off and a flash can be very distracting. Vicars know this and often ban photography during the service. It is possible to shoot without flash and using the very latest compact cameras, with the auto-focus and beep switched off, to soundlessly capture stills during the ceremony. Please indicate if you want us to adopt this stealthy approach.
We can devote a team member to take 'still' pictures on a Nikon camera. These will be of super quality and although we will organise your traditional family groups and poses we will not allow photography to dominate the day! Allow an hour for photos. Our objective is to make the day flow smoothly from one stage to the next! We will not discourage your guests from taking pictures in fact we will encourage them! We regard cutting the cake etcetera as a live event and will not 'stage' pictures just to get away early.
The Shooting Script
All photographers use a shooting script known in the trade as a 'shot list'. It helps facilitate the photo-shoot and avoids duplication. You can divide it into formal shots and informal romantic shots. A copy will be made available to the best man or the ushers. Please note that unlike many other photographers we encourage guests and family to take photos - just leave the setting up to us.
